Guide to Using this Site

In Brief

For reading or browsing, feel free to just browse around and discover the site contents

For editing, here are the quick steps:
1. If you had never registered before, click on Userlogin (on the upper right corner of all pages) to sign up (create an account). No worry, the only info required are a username and a password (all others are optional).
2. If you had registered previously, also click on Userlogin to login before editing

Note: As a general suggestion, learn to create a new page (see below) and experiment with the formating as you see fit. You can always edit or even delete the page.

Formating

My first suggestion is to not worry about format initially. But if you'd like your article to look better, follow this simple instruction:

Page Header
Section
Subsection
Sub-subsection
---- (Horizontal dividing line)
Bold text
Italic text

To create a new page:

1. Create a new link using this format: Displayed name of the new page
2. Save the page
3. Click on the new link. You will automatically be routed to a new empty page
4. Edit the new page. Be sure to save frequently just in case.

Tip: To ensure you are not using existing page name, use a prefix (example is using JoeBlo:Berlin instead of just Berlin

To include images:

1. Ensure your image file is less than 100KB in size (our storage is limited)
2. Ensure the image file name is descriptive; the filename can be fairly long, but keep it within 256 characters.
3. Click on "Upload file" (to the left, under 'toolbox') and follow the simple instruction to upload
4. Once upload is successful, you will see the header image syntax with the image itself, such as Image:London-eye-at-dusk-by-joe-smith.jpg
5. Note down (or copy) the Image syntax. You will use it to insert into your article.
6. Navigate back to your article. Insert image using this simple syntax:
7. Save the page and review/re-edit as necessary

Advanced Guide/Instructions

The instruction on this page should be sufficient for the most part. But there are a lot more to editing Wiki, and you can learn more on this complete User's Guide (http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User%27s_Guide)
